Origami Butterflies

I should rename this "Ella's Craft Blog" since a lot of my posts seem to be about what she's been doing rather than what I've been doing =p Anyways, here's what we've both been doing in the last few days...

Origami butterflies. We made these using the tutorial that's posted a few posts down. The tutorial is for money but we discovered it works just as well (if not better) with construction paper. The ones pictured above weren't quite finished when I took that picture because we didn't have any pipe cleaners but they're all done now :)

Ella doing some painting. When I was planning what her 'arts and craft corner' was going to look like I always envisioned some sort of wall plaque saying something clever and I was planning on buying some wooden letters to spell something out, then one day while looking for something completely different I stumbled upon this wooden cutout with the word already spelt. Perfect!

All pretty and painted!

And this is her arts and crafts corner! The origami butterflies have been finished with pipe cleaners and her "Create" letters are up on the wall, along with a few other bits and pieces of her artwork.

  1. Wow!!! that's an awesome craft corner i wish i had the ability to be crafty! lol

  2. Wow it's fabulous! I want a create sign sign for my craft room, lol!
    The butterflies are really effective!

  3. Wow, just wow this stuff is AMAZING. I have wooden letters for the boys waiting for me to do, you know on my long to do list.
I love her room it's adorable, and the butterflies are PERFECT.
